Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Glowwy, including glowwy.io and the Glowwy mobile app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Glowwy.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Glowwy analyzes photos of your skin to produce cosmetic metrics (such as hydration, brightness, tone evenness, fine lines, oiliness, and redness), a Glow Score, your skin tone and undertone, and related skincare and makeup suggestions.

Glowwy is a beauty and general wellness product, not a medical device or a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for advice from a dermatologist or other qualified healthcare professional. Never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something you read in Glowwy. If you have a concern about your skin or health, consult a doctor.

Analysis results, product matches, and chat responses are generated in part by automated and AI systems. They are estimates, they can be wrong or incomplete, and results vary with lighting, camera quality, and other factors. Always patch-test new products and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Glowwy. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms.

You need an account to use most of Glowwy. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at glowwy.helpcenter@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store — see the section below.

Glowwy offers a paid subscription, Glowwy Elite, alongside a free tier. Prices and what each tier includes are shown in the app before you purchase.

Free trial. If a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before it ends. Any unused portion of a trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Where you manage it. If you subscribed in the mobile app, billing is handled by Apple or Google, and you manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings — not by deleting the Glowwy app or your Glowwy account. If you subscribed on the web, you can manage it from your account settings on glowwy.io.

Refunds. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to that store’s refund policy, and refunds are granted by them, not by us. For web purchases, contact us at glowwy.helpcenter@gmail.com. Except where required by law, payments are otherwise non-refundable.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Any change applies to future billing periods, and we will give you notice in advance as required by the app stores and by applicable law. Continuing your subscription after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.

You keep ownership of everything you provide to Glowwy — your photos, the products you log on your Vanity Shelf, and your messages. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and analyze that content solely to operate and improve Glowwy for you.

You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload, and that photos you submit are of yourself or of someone who has given you permission.

You agree not to:

• Use Glowwy for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these Terms.
• Upload photos of other people without their permission, or content that is illegal, abusive, or infringing.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract our models, prompts, or datasets.
• Interfere with the Service, bypass usage limits or paywalls, or access it through automated means without our permission.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or its output without our written consent.

Glowwy, including its software, design, branding, and content (other than your own content), belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service — nothing more.

Glowwy relies on third parties to operate, including authentication, hosting, AI processing, and payment providers. Their availability and performance are outside our control, and their own terms may apply to your use of their services. See our Privacy Policy for who they are.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis, score, or recommendation will be accurate or produce any particular result for your skin.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Glowwy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

You may stop using Glowwy at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate your account without cause while you hold a paid subscription, we will refund the unused portion of the current period.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Glowwy after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
