Privacy Policy

Glowwy (“we”, “us”) provides skin analysis and skincare guidance through our website and mobile app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to both glowwy.io and the Glowwy mobile app.

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name, through our authentication provider (Clerk).

Photos for skin analysis. When you capture a Reading, the photo is sent to our servers and analyzed by our AI provider to produce your skin metrics and product recommendations. We do not store the photo itself after analysis — only the resulting scores (such as hydration, brightness, tone evenness, fine lines, oiliness, and redness), detected concerns, and your skin tone/undertone are saved to your account.

Chat messages. If you use Gloww, our in-app skin companion, your messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We keep a daily count of how many messages you’ve sent (to enforce free/paid usage limits) but we do not permanently store the content of your conversations.

Skincare product data. If you use the Vanity Shelf (Glowwy Cabinet) feature, we store the products you add, their active ingredients, and your routine logs so we can track your consistency over time.

Subscription and payment information. If you subscribe to Glowwy Elite, payment is handled entirely by Apple, Google, or Stripe, depending on how you subscribed. We never see or store your full card number. We receive and store only your subscription status (e.g., active, canceled) and plan type.

Push notification token. If you enable reminders, we store a device token so we can deliver those notifications. You can disable this at any time in Settings.

Usage and device information. We may collect standard technical information such as device type, app version, and general usage analytics to help us diagnose issues and improve the app.

• To generate your skin analysis, Glow Score, and personalized product recommendations.
• To power Gloww, your skin companion chat.
• To track your Chronicles history, routine consistency, and progress over time.
• To process and manage your subscription.
• To send reminders and service-related notifications you’ve opted into.
• To maintain the security and reliability of our service, and to comply with legal obligations.

We share data only with the service providers necessary to operate Glowwy, each acting on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Supabase — database storage for your skin analysis history and account data.
• OpenAI — processes your photos and chat messages to generate analysis and responses. Photos are not retained by us after processing.
• Stripe — payment processing for web subscriptions.
• RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play — subscription management and payment processing for the mobile app.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We retain your account and skin analysis history for as long as your account is active, so your Chronicles and progress remain available to you. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we’re required to retain certain records (for example, transaction records) for legal or accounting purposes.

• You can review and update your account information at any time in Settings.
• You can disable push notifications at any time in Settings.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (such as the GDPR or CCPA), including the right to data portability and the right to object to certain processing.

Glowwy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
